Census jobs

The Census field workforce plays a crucial role in supporting participation in the Census and reflects the diverse range of people and communities in Australia. The ABS will be hiring to fill more than 30,000 jobs for the upcoming 2026 Census. 

There are a variety of jobs you can apply for near you. These jobs may include delivering Census instructions and forms, answering questions from the public, and assisting households that have not yet responded. Some positions could also involve managing a small team of people on the ground.
